Tropical Storm Edouard made landfall around 8 a.m. this morning, and as far as my part of town was concerned, Edouard's fury consisted merely of a lot of rain. No flooding, no wind, no nothing. The end result? Twelve hours in a conference room (since my office wasn't closed), and an image of my wet car windshield.
I have to admit, I'm a little disappointed. I didn't want death and destruction, of course, and I'm very relieved that the storm didn't leave a wake in its path like Katrina ... but a little heart-pounding weather can be so invigorating, sometimes, don't you think?
Song: Rock you like a hurricane, by the Scorpions. It's not like I actually like this song, but really: you had to know it was coming.
